Weir launches New Rathgill Surgery

The North Down DUP MLA has today announced the launch of his new Rathgill Community Surgery. The new Surgery will be on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 11am – 12Noon in the Rathgill Learning and Resource Centre. The new surgery supplements the existing Rathgill constituency surgery in the Alderman George Green Centre on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month at 11am – 1 pm. Councillor Peter Weir MLA today commented on the new constituency surgery:

“It is with great pleasure that I announce a new constituency surgery for the people of Rathgill in the Rathgill Learning and Resource Centre, to complement my other constituency surgeries in Rathgill and right across the North Down constituency.

It is important for the people of North Down to see their elected representatives working for them, working to improve their quality of life and living conditions. This new surgery allows for more people in Rathgill to easily engage and communicate with me and my staff, seeking our help and advice on a wide range of issues that affect their lives.

My constituency office is here to help with a range of issues such as housing issues, social security and benefit, problems with Roads Service or NI Water, issues surrounding the planning process and other local or regional issues that people may have. My office, my staff and myself are here to help and to have a positive impact in improving the quality of life for all the people of North Down.

The new surgery in the Rathgill Learning and Resource Centre on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 11am – 12Noon is an attempt to make it easier for the people of Rathgill to seek and receive advice on a wide range of issues. I would encourage the people of Rathgill to make use of this service, not to suffer in silence on their own but to seek professional and confidential advice at one of my constituency surgeries or to call my office. I look forward to meeting and engaging with the people of Rathgill at the new constituency surgery”
