| "I am shocked and saddened to learn of the fire at the site of the former Juvenile Justice Centre in Bangor. I am particularly angry to hear that this fire was started deliberately and I utterly condemn this wanton act of vandalism. The brave members of the Fire Service are to be commended for preventing the fire spreading but there is no getting away from the fact that their lives were put at risk by this stupidity. The arsonists are putting their own lives at risk, they are putting the lives of innocent members of the public at risk, and they are putting the firefighters lives at risk. This criminal activity must be brought to an end and I urge anyone who has any information on the culprits to immediately contact Bangor police." |
