WEIR HAILS SUCCESS OF KILCOOLEY FAMILY FUN DAY

"On Saturday, I had the pleasure and the honour to attend the Kilcooley Family Fun Day. Yet again I was thoroughly impressed with the event. There was a wide variety of stalls and events, and there was a real sense of the community coming together to celebrate the estate. What was particularly important was the family atmosphere that was apparent to everyone, and demonstrated by both the high attendance of people from the local community, and the spread of ages of those present, from young children and their parents to senior citizens. It is clear as always that a lot of hard work has gone into this by the organisers to make it the success it is, and they should be commended for their efforts. This event has rapidly become a fixture in the North Down calendar, to be enjoyed by all."
